Perseverance is a popular theme in books, music and movies. Perseverance means trying really hard to get something done. It means having lots of patience, and never giving up until the task is complete. Learning to tie shoes takes perseverance. So does learning to play soccer, baseball or the violin. You can't become a great ballerina or gymnast without perseverance. It also takes perseverance to write a story, read a book, or finish that long sheet of math problems. As you can see, we need lots of perseverance to get us through every day!
